About Outreach Swimming
USA Swimming offers a reduced registration fee for athletes from low-income families. The purpose of this program is to provide competitive swimming opportunities to the underrepresented and economically disadvantaged youth in the United States. The Outreach Program reduces the annual membership fee an athlete pays to USA Swimming to $5. In addition extreme efforts will be made to secure funds for additional needs such as Swim dues, swimsuits, equipment and possible travel expenses.
Outreach Qualification Considerations:
- Free/Reduced Meals (Letter from school district)
- CHP+
- Medicaid

Durango Swim Club Outreach
The Durango Swimming athlete “Outreach” membership includes an annual reduced registration fee for USA Swimming membership, along with the reduced swim dues and will work to aid the athlete financially to continue their swimming program.
Equipment
The Durango Swim Club will make every effort to provide necessary equipment for a swimmer who makes a request on the outreach application for equipment as well as fees and meets need based qualifications.
Confidentiality
All efforts are made to keep the status of outreach swimmers confidential. Coaches and team representatives should keep in mind that kids can be cruel.

This program will be discontinued at anytime. Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and will end when the funds are exhausted. We do not guarantee that funds will be available when you apply and we do not discriminate based on gender, religious beliefs, disability, or race. Funding is provided on a quarterly basis.
